Most moisturizers are mostly water, and that water evaporates by afternoon. Roman Cream contains no water. Your skin will feel soft and supple all day. A little goes a long way.
Roman Cream begins with the three simple elements found in the nearly 2,000-year-old face cream recovered from the Roman world: a fat, a starch, and a mineral. We saw what survived and began there—grass-fed tallow, arrowroot, and zinc. To those we add extra-virgin olive oil, frankincense, myrrh, rose, and vitamin E: eight ingredients, each chosen for what it brings to the skin.
Rich with tallow and olive oil, and whipped into a substantial cream, it melts with the warmth of the skin and spreads smoothly across it. It settles beautifully—nourishing and luminous, without feeling greasy or slick—and stays with you throughout the day.
The scent is warm and resinous, softened by rose. No synthetic fragrance; what reaches you comes from the botanicals and resins themselves.
